Earth Hour - 30th March 2019 - 8.30-9.30pm

Updated: Apr 5, 2019

Young Climate Warriors is just one of many many groups that are taking action to fight climate change and to help look after our precious planet. This Week's Challenge is to ask your parent/carer if your family can join with tens of millions of others around the world in supporting Earth Hour (organised by WWF (World Wildlife Fund)). Switch off your lights for 60 minutes and you'll be in good company...Sydney Opera House, the Empire State Building, the Eiffel Tower, Buckingham Palace and Edinburgh Castle...they're all joining you! Whilst your lights are off you could have a candle-lit meal, or a family game, or go outside and see the stars?

You might like to watch this 2 minute movie produced by Earth Hour - 'empowering youth for our planet'.

Sorry, we know 8.30pm may be too late for some of our Young-er Climate Warriors - maybe you could do part of it or have your own Earth Hour on a different day?

A 'school holiday' Challenge will be set on Friday 5th April. The first challenge of the summer term will be set on Friday 26th April.
