Duke of Edinburgh's Award
Climate Change 'Skills'

Want to take action to help to tackle climate change but not sure where to start? Join a growing team of Young Climate Warriors.
Every Friday for three months we’ll send you a ‘do-able’ (even fun!) carbon-cutting, sustainable-living challenge, including links to relevant inspiring videos and other web-based materials.

Location: Your home, garden or local park.

Cost: £0 - it's free!

This Climate Change Skills Challenges programme involves 12 weeks of challenges and a final questionnaire. It can be part of your Bronze DofE Award, or your Silver DofE Award - if you're looking for a three-month opportunity. You need to be registered for the Award with your school or local group before starting the challenges.
If you have any other questions, thoughts, or feedback please email: dofe@youngclimatewarriors.org

"I think many people have struggled to play a role in tackling climate change because they believe that only one person won't make a big difference. However, since taking part in YCW, I've learned that just one person can make a big change." Sylvie, participant, Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award, 2025

Alice created this unique pillow from recycled textiles as part of the D of E challenges. Picture of denim pillow with fish embroided on it.
