Wait, what is Climate Change?

Climate change (or global warming), is the process of our planet heating up.

It already is, and will increasingly, make many animals and humans lives more difficult - especially the poorest people who have done the least to cause climate change.

Weather will become more extreme and unpredictable. We are already seeing increasing floods, wild fires and droughts; events which many ascribe to climate change.  Sea ice is shrinking, seas are warming and sea levels are rising.

The earth has warmed 1º in the last 100 years. We need to keep it below 1.5º.

Climate Change is caused by carbon emissions - for example by burning fossil fuels -

like oil, coal,

and gas.

We need to change...like a chameleon to adapt to our current situation...and that's what Young Climate Warriors is going to help you with. If we all do the same little things, at the same time, we can really make a big change. It's like teamwork, if we all act together, we can make a big difference.
